The biochar boosts the soil’s ability to hold nutrients, while the compost and oyster flour give plants a steady supply of minerals. Lightweight ingredients like peat moss, perlite, and rice hulls keep the soil loose and well-draining, so roots stay happy and don’t get waterlogged. Tips for Use: This mix is ideal for potted herbs, flowering plants, moisture-loving plants, and foliage plants. For orchids/bromeliads, we recommend mixing our Terra Preta-Inspired Blend with Soil Sunrise Orchid Bark. And for succulents and cacti, we recommend adding some Soil Sunrise Rice Hulls or Soil Sunrise Perlite to increase drainage.
