Seems to be an adequate soil amendment.

This is dark heavy soil, couldn't get seeds to sprout in this. Good for repotting grown plants though.

I am using this soil while my plants are growing indoors while I wait for it to warm up outside. It is pretty high quality in my opinion. Compared to potting mixes you buy in-store, there aren't any small twigs or other 'debris' that needed to be removed. It seems to drain pretty well as it isn't super dense. I think this would be great for most vegetables/fruits/flowers that don't need a very specific type of soil. This is on the expensive side for me as I have a large quantity of plants, but this is good if you need a smaller quantity of soil or if you want to give a few of your plants a nice little boost.

This is my first experience with bio-char and look forward to seeing the results and if there is a noticeable difference in the plants planted with it. It seems like great quality soil. It is light and airy - perfect for seedlings and seed starting. I planted some new seeds as well as transplanted some established seedlings into larger pots. The soil looked great - rich, crumbly and holds water but drains well. It seems a bit pricey but again, I've never worked with bio-char before. I'll report back to update my review if there is a significant problem with the seeds or up-potting I did using the mix.

The potting soil comes in a well-designed package and has a soft, rich texture—great quality overall.
