I do happen to live close to several gardening stores and I’m used to getting pretty giant bags of potting soilfor a lot less.Regarding the actual product, how can they go wrong with bat guano, kelp and worm castings? Any gardener will know that these things will make a wonderful soil. When I opened the bag, the soil looked like beautiful quality. It was fairly dry and fluffy with some little chunks. It smelled fresh and appealing. Apparently it smelled really good to my cat.The bag is resealable, which is always handy, especially if you’re doing small repotting projects.

I got this potting mix to use with my indoor and outdoor plants. I have a bunch of philos, monsteras and hibiscus. I do mix it with other ingredients to make it a bit chunkier for my indoor plants. There is no strong odor and smells like soil. When mixing i would recommend dampening it first as the soil is rather powdery and kicks up “dust” clouds. Other than that it mixes well. It looks good and dark like worm castings with little bits or orchid bark. It seems to be of good quality as my plants are very happy and thriving. Having it in a resealable bag makes it easier to use and store. Really good nutrient rich soil for those tropical plants. Nice price.

Overall I think this is a good option as a potting mix. I needed to repot some hibiscus and other plants, so they all got a soil refresh with this potting mix.First, I would advise soaking it a bit before use or underfilling the pot a bit or bottom watering after filling the pot, as it started off kind of hydrophobic. I top watered my plants after filling the pots with soil and the water pooled and gurgled for a few minutes before settling in and the temporarily standing water displaced the plants a bit from where I'd put them.Aside from that, so far my plants seem happy with their new environment.
