Premium Fiddle Leaf Fig Indoor Houseplant Potting Soil Mix

Give your Fiddle Leaf Fig a potting mix made specifically for its growing needs! Whether you're potting a new tree, moving a root-bound plant into a larger container, or replacing old, compacted growing media, Soil Sunrise Fiddle Leaf Fig Tree Potting Soil Mix combines quality ingredients in a convenient, ready-to-use blend for container-grown Fiddle Leaf Fig plants.

Specially formulated for Fiddle Leaf Fig trees, this blend combines moisture-retaining peat moss and pine mulch with perlite and horticultural charcoal to support drainage, aeration, and a healthy root environment. Lime helps balance the pH as part of the formulation, creating an indoor houseplant potting mix that’s ready to use straight from the bag.

Key Benefits:

  • Plant-Specific Formula: Specifically formulated for container-grown Fiddle Leaf Fig trees and their unique growing needs.
  • Balanced Drainage & Moisture: Peat moss and pine mulch help retain useful moisture and provide structure, while perlite and horticultural charcoal help support drainage and air space throughout the mix.
  • Pre-Blended & Ready to Use: Use this Fiddle Leaf Fig tree potting soil straight from the bag with no need to purchase, measure, or mix several separate soil components.
  • Quality Ingredients: Contains horticultural charcoal, peat moss, perlite, pine mulch, and lime.

How Much Fiddle Leaf Fig Tree Potting Soil Do I Need?

Choose the bag size that best fits your Fiddle Leaf Fig Tree repotting project. The actual amount needed will vary depending on container size, root-ball size, and how much existing media is removed.

12 qt: Ideal for a medium to large Fiddle Leaf Fig repotting project or for refreshing the growing media in a larger container.

Why This Fiddle Leaf Fig Tree Soil Blend Works:

Peat Moss: Help retain useful moisture while contributing organic material and lightweight structure to the growing medium.
Pine Mulch & Horticultural Perlite: Adds organic structure while helping create air space throughout the mix while supporting drainage and root aeration.
Horticultural Charcoal: Adds porous material that contributes to the mix's overall structure and aeration.
Lime: Helps adjust pH as part of the overall formulation.

I bought a store FLF and came home and replanted it and have gotten so many new leaves already and the new leaves have been so rich and healthy and HUGE. These were new growth in Jan 1 but these leaves now are so much bigger. I love this soil for FLF

Great price & user friendly! I only deducted one star since there were no larger dry pieces in the mixture (as per ad photo). Soil was extremely lightweight & I feel like it is good quality fig soil. Not your average store potting soil by no means. Figgies were replanted and guess I’ll have to see how they do.

So I bought this soil late December, and I have been very happy with it. So I live in the North East. We happen to get some unusually cold days in the 20's late October. I'm a plant guy, and I was on a job site for my work. A client had a pretty mature fiddle leaf fig that I assume they had outside on their patio for the summer. They decided to just discard it like it was a annual and laid it at the curb on its side. As I worked I pass this tree several times. It just bothered me that they just left it die. I ordinarally would not take something that someone throws out, but it's a life. I asked permission to take it even though they clearly discarded it. When I got it home it was extremely stressed due to the cold and lack of care. When I got it home, it shedded multiple leaves over the next few weeks. Over the next few weeks I was really busy with work and with the holidays coming up. When I had some decent time to focus on it. I realized it was extremely pot bound. I happen to have a larger planter. I decided to buy this soil because it was reasonably priced and comparable in price as another soil that got terrible reviews for the soil being infested with insects and gnats. So I was really concerned about this soil as well, but to my surprise this soil is very clean and no bugs. I did not want to add more stress to this tree. I'm happy to say that the fiddle leaf fig is responding well to all of the tlc and this soil. I will definitely purchase soil from this brand again.

The soil was just regular looking dirt. The drainage was fine, I had an appropriate pot. It smelled fresh and retained moisture. My Fiddle Fig still died. Maybe it was too far gone before the soil transplant. Included is a picture of that dirt used now for my rose bush. That also died. Maybe I need to give up gardening. LOL.

1. Choose the Right Container
Select a clean container with adequate drainage holes and enough room for the plant’s root system.

2. Add Potting Mix
Place a layer of potting mix in the bottom of the container, adding enough so the plant will sit at the proper height.

3. Position the Plant
Gently remove the plant from its existing container, loosen compacted roots if needed, and place it in the center of the new container.

4. Fill Around the Roots
Add additional potting mix around the root ball, filling the container while leaving a small amount of space below the rim. Gently settle the mix without packing it too tightly.

5. Water & Allow to Drain
Water thoroughly after potting and allow excess water to drain completely. Continue caring for the plant according to its specific watering, light, and growing requirements.
