Premium Lucky Bamboo Indoor Houseplant Potting Soil Mix

Give your Lucky Bamboo a potting mix made specifically for its growing needs! Whether you're potting a new plant, transitioning a Lucky Bamboo from water to soil, or replacing old, compacted growing media, Soil Sunrise Lucky Bamboo Plant Potting Soil Mix combines quality ingredients in a convenient, ready-to-use blend for container-grown Lucky Bamboo plants.

Specially formulated for Lucky Bamboo grown in soil, this blend combines moisture-retaining peat moss with perlite to support drainage, aeration, and a healthy root environment. Natural worm castings add an organic component to the blend, while lime helps balance the formulation, creating a ready-to-use indoor houseplant potting mix straight from the bag.

Key Benefits:

  • Plant-Specific Formula: Specifically formulated for container-grown Lucky Bamboo plants and their unique growing needs.
  • Balanced Drainage & Moisture: Peat moss helps retain useful moisture, while perlite and sand help support drainage and air space throughout the mix.
  • Pre-Blended & Ready to Use: Use this Lucky Bamboo potting soil straight from the bag with no need to purchase, measure, or mix several separate soil components.
  • Quality Ingredients: Contains peat moss, horticultural perlite, worm castings, and lime.

How Much Lucky Bamboo Potting Soil Do I Need?

Choose the bag size that best fits your Lucky Bamboo repotting project. The actual amount needed will vary depending on container size, root-ball size, and how much existing media is removed.

4 qt: Ideal for individual Lucky Bamboo plants, small containers, or several small repotting projects.

Why This Lucky Bamboo Soil Blend Works:

Peat Moss: Help retain useful moisture while contributing organic material and lightweight structure to the growing medium.
Horticultural Perlite: Adds organic structure while helping create air space throughout the mix while supporting drainage and root aeration.
Worm Castings: Add a natural organic component to the blend.
Lime: Helps adjust pH as part of the overall formulation.

1. Choose the Right Container
Select a clean container with adequate drainage holes and enough room for the plant’s root system.

2. Add Potting Mix
Place a layer of potting mix in the bottom of the container, adding enough so the plant will sit at the proper height.

3. Position the Plant
Gently remove the plant from its existing container, loosen compacted roots if needed, and place it in the center of the new container.

4. Fill Around the Roots
Add additional potting mix around the root ball, filling the container while leaving a small amount of space below the rim. Gently settle the mix without packing it too tightly.

5. Water & Allow to Drain
Water thoroughly after potting and allow excess water to drain completely. Continue caring for the plant according to its specific watering, light, and growing requirements.

I ordered two of these and the first bag seemed to only contain wood chips, almost nothing else mentioned in the listing. I transplanted that orchid and it is thriving. The second bag contained wood ships and more of the other stuff. That orchid is dying, and I don’t understand why! I messaged the seller and got no response. Very disappointing. The orchids came from different places so it could be that this orchid was not as hardy.

My lucky bamboo was in a tiny pot and needed to be transplanted because it was starting to die. Once I transplanted it and used this soil my plant started to recover from being root bound. Highly recommend it.
