Add a versatile organic input to your garden with Soil Sunrise Dry Horticultural Molasses Powder. This easy-to-use powdered amendment provides a carbohydrate-rich source of organic material for use in soil, compost, garden beds, and other growing applications.

Key Benefits:

  • Carbohydrate-Rich Organic Input: Provides readily available sugars and carbon-based organic material for soil and compost applications.
  • Ideal for Soil & Compost: Easily incorporated into garden soil, raised beds, compost piles, and other growing media.
  • Convenient Dry Formula: Easier to measure, spread, and store than traditional liquid molasses.
  • Versatile Garden Amendment: Suitable for vegetable gardens, flowers, herbs, landscaping, raised beds, lawns, and composting applications.
  • Easy to Apply: The powdered form can be dissolved into water and sprayed, or mixed into soil or compost or distributed over growing areas as part of your regular soil-care routine.

What Is Dry Horticultural Molasses?

Horticultural molasses is a sugar-rich material used as an organic input in gardening, soil management, and composting applications. The naturally occurring carbohydrates provide a readily available source of carbon that can be utilized within biologically active soil and compost systems.

The dry powdered form offers the benefits of convenient storage and application without having to measure or handle thick liquid molasses.

How to Use Dry Horticultural Molasses:

Prep your mix:
Measure 1–2 tablespoons of powder per gallon.

Dissolve or dust:
Stir into water for a foliar spray or sprinkle evenly over soil.

Apply solution:
Water or spray plants thoroughly until the mixture soaks in.

Repeat regularly:
Reapply every 2–4 weeks during the growing season.

Monitor results:
Watch for vibrant blooms and adjust frequency as needed.

I use this product to make an elixir for my garden soil. I water my above ground beds with this mixed with rice water and a few other things to keep my soil alive and teeming with good bacteria. My experience has shown me that keeping soil healthy is more effective than fertilizing plants in producing good crops. Anyone that is interested in this approach can research recipes online.

Great stuff! I used it mixed with dry kelp, dry humic, dry fish on my conifers and plants especially struggling with post fire shock and stress. I also used endo and ecto mycorrhizae. This combination is a superior way to rebuild soil and strengthen plants and trees. It brought all of mine back to life 2 years after a devastating fire.
