Orchid Potting Soil Mix (2 Quarts); Fast Draining Healthy Media for Planting/Repotting

A blend of our special horticulture grade charcoal, perlite (sponge rock) and pine bark. This mixture from Soil Sunrise has been tested with both our personal and retail collections. This general purpose mix works well and won't cause root issues. This combination allows for excellent drainage and aeration to roots as well as nutrient retention. Charcoal increases the soilless medium’s ability to hold onto plant nutrients and beneficial soil microbes by slowing or reducing the leaching of nutrients by rain or watering. TIPS: As a general rule, orchids are light-hungry plants. For best results, they should get 12 to 14 hours of light each day, year-round. In a tropical environment, the duration and intensity of natural light does not vary as it does in temperate climates. For this reason, you may need to move your orchids around and supplement with artificial light to keep them happy during the winter months. INGREDIENTS: Fir bark, horticultural charcoal, and perlite
