I used this and then added Pumice, Perlite, Coarse Sand and some Worm Castings for my Ponytail Palm. Great starting base, it already has some of these but I made a 50/50 batch of perl and pumice. Filled a pot with mixture, no plant, and watered it to see how long before it totally dried out, about 8 days. Ponytails are a succulent, not a Palm. I use their mixes for my Ferns, and my 3 potted Palms have no complaints about their products. Oh ya, the Pumice was theirs also, Bonsai Pumice I used, nice 1/4-3/8" peices. No complaints, fast delivery and price was good.

Composed of elements I was looking for, especially to keep cacti and succulents healthy. The soil was already moist, but not wet. No smell to it, which is good for house plants. Initially I had bought for transplanting store bought plants, but wound up transplanting several cacti and succulents I have had for years. Good to revitalize the soil now and then, since houseplants don't grow in the wild and probably need new nutrients. I wish the bag were bigger, being I used it up before I knew it. Will 'Buy Again'!Only one complaint, the top of the bag was tough to shovel out, due to the design of the opening, so I just snipped off the top so I could get the hand-shovel in and out, or else dirt would spill all over. Sealed it with an oversized stationery clip. Not a deal-breaker.

This mix is great for succulents and cactus. It’s got lots of great quality ingredients and is a fast draining formula. It does not have a smell nor have I seen any bugs or gnats in it. So far my plants look like they are appreciating this mix.

Damaged Orders

If your order arrives damaged, please contact our support team as soon as possible. Save the packaging and damaged items so we can review the issue and help determine the best next step.

1. Choose the Right Container
Select a clean container with adequate drainage holes and enough room for the plant’s root system.

2. Add Potting Mix
Place a layer of potting mix in the bottom of the container, adding enough so the plant will sit at the proper height.

3. Position the Plant
Gently remove the plant from its existing container, loosen compacted roots if needed, and place it in the center of the new container.

4. Fill Around the Roots
Add additional potting mix around the root ball, filling the container while leaving a small amount of space below the rim. Gently settle the mix without packing it too tightly.

5. Water & Allow to Drain
Water thoroughly after potting and allow excess water to drain completely. Continue caring for the plant according to its specific watering, light, and growing requirements.
