Cactus and Succulent Potting Mix

Cacti require a porous, sandy or pebbly potting soil that provides plenty of aeration and excellent drainage.This soilless blend includes orchid bark, coarse silica sand, pumice, and calcined clay, making it a perfect growing environment for cacti and other succulent plants.Orchid bark is fast draining and provides plenty of space for aeration to roots. Sand is also great for drainage assistance. Sand lessens risk of compaction. Pumice reduces water runoff and fertilization by increasing soil absorption in sandy soils. Calcined clay can help with drainage and also hold and release nutrients to plant roots with its high cation-exchange capacity.

Tips: Remember cacti and succulents don’t like a lot of water. Don’t overwater.
